Description
Roben Jever clinker bricks are manufactured in Germany from European clay varieties and fired in a kiln at a temperature of 1100°C. The colour of clinker bricks is achieved by mixing several varieties of clay and applying engobe to the surface of the clinker. The price of Roben clinker bricks depends on the type of clay, the firing technology and the method of processing the front surface. Roben's factories produce clinker bricks, paving stones and facade tiles. Roben's specialists produce facing bricks and paving stones with care for the environment and minimal energy consumption. When extracting the necessary raw materials, the company's employees ensure that only as much raw material is extracted as is needed for production, which allows waste to be limited and raw materials to be used as efficiently as possible. Before firing, the bricks must be dried. The drying process consumes a large amount of energy. For energy-saving reasons, Roben's factories use the residual heat from the kilns to heat the drying chambers. This residual heat comes from kilns or cogeneration plants. The use of residual heat is an important improvement that has been implemented at Roben factories. Thanks to the use of natural gas and the installation of filters on chimneys, Roben factories have the lowest pollutant emissions of any company in the industry
